Paula Lynn Browning, 53 of Danville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 5:17pm, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Services will begin at 10am on Saturday, July 20th at the funeral home, with Rev. Jay Sorrell officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Greenwood cemetery, with The Last Ride escorting her to her final resting place.
Paula was born on October 15, 1965 in Danville, Illinois to Marvin and Alice (Atkinson) Shutes. She attended Danville schools, graduating in 1984, and went on to attend classes at DACC in the nursing profession. Paula worked in manufacturing at Master Guard, Presta, Thyssen Krupp, Bungee and most recently at Lyons as a Paint Line Supervisor. She could often be found on her Harley riding with her friends, participating in the various Poker Runs and Memorial Rides, and she never missed the annual Ladies Ride. Paula was a euchre fanatic, always a fun time, and enjoyed a good laugh and practical jokes. She enjoyed her family, and a bonfire was a common event at the house.
Paula married Matthew Browning on August 30, 2003 at Wolfe Creek in Danville, and the two have shared nearly sixteen fun years together. She also leaves behind her three children: Lindsey (Matt) Brady, Amanda (Chris) Brady, and Haley McDonald; and her seven grandchildren: Kayde, Dillon, Jonathon, Madison, Kyla, Gevin, and Dylon. She will be greatly missed by her parents Marvin and Alice, her brother Marvin Shutes, her three sisters: Kathy (David) Ramsey, Connie (Charlie) Hudison, and Teresa (Roy) Murphy, and her mother and father in law: Warren & Marilyn Browning.
Paula was selfless, always putting others before herself, and was here for a good time. Because of this the family asks that you come as you are and all Harley Riders are welcome to join in the procession. Memorials may be made to Vermilion Valley Vineyard Church, and the family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks for Pastor Jay for his support. Messages and memories may be left on our website at www.KrugerCoanPape.com, or on the Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home Facebook page.
